Dan, Nancy, and Lynn/Fairfax, VT
Our new friends Dan, Nancy, and daughter Lynn. Dan and Nancy live in Las Cruces. Nancy is from Vermont and this is their 5th generation farm. We met at Costco and they invited us to their farm. We had a great time with them!

They call her the “Corn Lady”, she calls herself the “Corny Corn Lady”. Nancy sells corn from the farm each year around the corner.

Looks like great memories. Did y0u know them in Las Cruces?
No! Dan and his daughter, Lynn, saw our NM license plate and came to our side door. We were hanging out in the back waiting for the Costco gas to open. They had some weird legal issue going on and they had to limit their hours. So they came to the door and said “Are you from Albuquerque?” We started a conversation and ended up talking about how we couldn’t find any 505 Hatch Green Chile at Costco anymore. Lynn said she bought the last 10 jars from the Costco we were at. She said come out to the farm and we’ll give you a jar. They were so generous and welcoming. We had a wonderful time with them. Lynn even made homemade tortillas for us. We got a tour of the sugar house that’s being built and then enjoyed delicious maple dumplings. The maple syrup was the best I’d ever had! So many blessings in our adventures….and struggles too. But all worth it!
